AMD Equips Panasonic Workstation with M-Series Graphics

The graphics processing unit has intelligent features to help extend the workstation's battery life.

AMD has provided its M5100 mobile professional graphics for Panasonic’s new Toughbook CF-54. This technology, the company states equips professionals with reliable graphics and a rugged workstation for industries such as automotive, telecommunications, manufacturing, construction, mining and defense.

The Toughbook has an Intel Core i5-5300U vPro Processor, up to 16GB of RAM, a 14 in. display and a 500GB hard drive. It runs Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit, with an option to run Windows 7.

The AMD M-series has the company’s Graphics Core Next architecture as well as intelligent power features that monitor and extend battery life.
