BOXX Technologies announces the availability of the new GoBOXX SLM, an NVIDIA RTX Studio Laptop.

This new laptop supports real-time ray tracing and advanced AI capabilities. Featuring an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 GPU, GoBOXX SLM is purpose-built to accelerate creative software applications and workflows including high-resolution video editing, ray tracing, and AI processing, the company reports.

“Each software application refresh puts greater demand on computer hardware, so our mission is to continue to innovate and provide creative professionals with the fastest systems in the world,” says Bill Leasure, BOXX VP of Marketing. “One of the ways we accomplish this is by integrating state-of-the-art technology like NVIDIA Quadro RTX GPUs into our GoBOXX SLM and APEXX workstations.”

Weighing 5 lbs. and 0.69-in. thick, the ultra-thin GoBOXX SLM provides fast ray tracing and rapid GPU acceleration for Adobe CC, DaVinci Resolve and other creative applications. The addition of NVIDIA Quadro RTX GPUs enables editors to decode raw 6K RED video in real-time, edit in Adobe Premiere Pro, render and denoise more quickly in Autodesk Arnold, and color grade faster in DaVinci Resolve. Along with the NVIDIA Quadro RTX, GoBOXX SLM features an eight-core Intel Core i9 i9-9880H processor, 32GB of RAM and a 15-in. or 17-in. full HD display (1920x1080).

“Accessing the power of NVIDIA Quadro RTX in sleek, mobile form factors offers a huge advantage to designers, artists, and engineering professionals working in today’s fast-paced environments,” says Sandeep Gupte, senior director of Professional Visualization at NVIDIA. “From real-time ray tracing and AI to advanced graphics capabilities, these powerful systems accelerate creative apps and dramatically decrease wait times, enabling users to create at the speed of their imagination.”

BOXX also highlights the new APEXX W4L desktop workstation equipped with four NVIDIA Quadro RTX 8000 GPUs. APEXX W4L also features a 28-core (56 thread) Intel Xeon W-3275 processor and 128GB of memory. Purpose-built to accelerate rendering and simulation, APEXX W4L will support a demonstration of Cinema 4D R21 hosted by creative director and visual effects producer Sabour Amirazodi.
