DesignPoint—a growth advisor for engineers and manufacturers —has acquired Alpha Additive Manufacturing Technologies, a successful Markforged reseller located in Lowell, MA. The acquisition furthers DesignPoint's commitment to help advance businesses in the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions by providing 3D printing solutions with maximum impact.

“This acquisition represents an amazing opportunity to continue to expand our presence in New England and further our commitment to our Markforged partnership,” explains DesignPoint's Partner Fran Lairdieson. “Alpha's devotion to the success of its clients matches our own passion to ensure that More is Possible for our customers, making them the ideal fit for our DesignPoint team.”

“We are proud to join forces with a company that shares our commitment to helping businesses improve the way they bring products to market,” says Alpha AMT president, Jim Mertes. “For over 20 years we've believed that making our customers successful was the most important thing. Little did we know that DesignPoint was inspired by that same belief system.”
