RIZE Unveils Smart Spaces for Innovation, Announces New Partnerships
With Dassault Systemes as an investor and strategic partner, RIZE says it has developed an end-to-end solution that connects the entire digital ecosystem within a company.
March 27, 2019
RIZE, Inc., an additive manufacturing company, has introduced Smart Spaces for Innovation. Smart Spaces are “connected, interactive and intelligent environments” and have been identified by Gartner as one of the top 10 technology trends for 2019.
RIZE has launched Smart Spaces for Product Innovation, Manufacturing Innovation and Service Innovation. The company says these digital-plus-physical spaces integrate innovative approaches in design with safe, easy and full-color 3D printing, creating intelligent parts that can be digitally connected to augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) technologies, blockchain and intelligent systems.
With Dassault Systèmes as an investor and strategic partner, RIZE says it has developed an end-to-end solution that connects the entire digital ecosystem within a company (design systems, data management systems and manufacturing systems) with a QR code on a printed part. Smart Spaces provides deep connections on the CAD side with SOLIDWORKS, and on the data management side. Smart Spaces include a license of SOLIDWORKS Standard.
Smart Spaces in Product Innovation create new haptic experiences for design engineers and enable acceleration of time-to-part with increased iterations. Full-color parts enable design and simulation to be on the same page. Generative shapes can be rapidly validated to create new and lightweight designs.
Smart Spaces in Manufacturing Innovation for manufacturing and tooling engineers enable cost reductions of up to 90%, according to the company, by producing custom tools, jigs and fixtures as well as low-volume parts, and reducing errors in the engineering-to-manufacturing handoff.
Smart Spaces in Service Innovation for service engineers enable increased uptime of the plant and equipment by on-demand printing of spare parts and reduced locked capital through digital inventories.
Smart Spaces, Powered by XRIZE, which the company calls “the industry’s first all-in-one desktop industrial 3D printer,” allows carbon composites and voxel-level, full-color and digitally augmented parts in engineered polymers on a single platform.
RIZE will simultaneously launch Smart Spaces, Powered by XRIZE, to the North American market for the first time at AMUG in Chicago, March 31-April 4, 2019 in RIZE booth P18 and in the Dassault Systèmes booth, Hall 6/Booth K30, at Hanover Messe, April 1-4, 2019.
RIZE Partnerships Expand Sales Opportunities
SolidXperts is one of the top 10 SOLIDWORKS Authorized Resellers in North America. For over 20 years, the Montreal-based company has specialized in 3D technology, combining the benefits of SOLIDWORKS 3D design software with the capability of 3D printing to deliver end-to-end solutions for their customers in Eastern Canada and New England.
“Our goal is to significantly improve our customers’ performance in the design, production and service of high-quality products and equipment,” said Alex P. Habrich, president and CEO of SolidXperts. “RIZE’s seamless integration with SOLIDWORKS and safe, easy industrial 3D printing technology will help our customers achieve true product, production and service innovation.”
Texas-based Impac Systems Engineering (ISE) has used technology, processes and people to solve engineering challenges for customers for over 30 years. ISE has a heritage in CAD software, combined with engineering and 3D printing expertise.
“Our customers’ needs range from idea, design, simulation and prototyping to fabrication, assembly and production,” said Kelly Knake, vice president of Business Development at ISE. “RIZE’s safe and easy desktop additive manufacturing solutions address these needs by enabling the complete design-to-manufacturing process to be centralized with the engineer in one seamless and inclusive experience to provide faster iterations and faster time to market.”
