As companies scrambled to shift their design and engineering teams into a work-from-home model, software vendors across the engineering space rushed to their assistance by offering free access to home-based licensing, helping customers access remote servers and HPC clusters, and providing additional technical support. In some cases, these companies also pitched in directly to help health care providers receive needed personal protective equipment (PPE) such as facemasks and face shields, as well as ventilator parts.
