Swiss 3D printer manufacturer Sintratec and Sun Digital have entered into a partnership. The company, a provider of digital printing solutions in Mexico, has expanded its offering to include industrial 3D printing.
For more than 50 years, Mexico City-based Sun Digital has specialized in the sales and service of color printers, as well as label and packaging printing. As an exclusive partner for HP Indigo digital presses, the company has positioned itself in the Mexican market. With a newly formed Additive Division, Sun Digital is now looking to enter the 3D printing sector—with the selective laser sintering process (SLS) from Sintratec, among other technologies.
The Swiss manufacturer's compact and expandable SLS systems offer a first step into industrial additive manufacturing. The new Sintratec All-Material Platform completes Sun Digital's portfolio with a modular manufacturing solution that combines scalability, multi-material capability and throughput, according to the companies. For Sintratec, this partnership represents an entry into the Mexican market and an expansion of its North American sales and service network.
“With Sun Digital we have gained a competent, industry-oriented specialist with many years of experience, who will now represent the Sintratec products for the first time in the promising Mexican market,” says Gabor Koppanyi, head of Marketing & Sales Sintratec. “We are convinced that customers and prospects in Central America will benefit greatly from Sun Digital's expanded offering and its service network.”
