Next-Generation Large-Format Printers Detailed
October 16, 2018
Dear DE Reader:
Our mission-critical printer was so old Gutenberg likely built it. We hadn't realized how much it slowed our processes and cramped our productivity until a new, more capable and efficient printer/copier/scanner arrived. We just grew accustomed to relying on antique technology. It’s such a common workplace mistake, which is why you should explore today's Check it Out.
The landing page at the other end of today's link focuses on Canon U.S.A.'s next-generation Océ ColorWave 3000 large-format printing systems. It's well designed, easy to navigate and packed with details.
Now, these two machines are built to handle the printing, copying and scanning demands of design, engineering and similar technical outfits. You know, things like CAD, rendering, geographical data, graphics for marketing, whatever. One is for intense environments needing lots of media capacity and media versatility while the other is for more sedate walk-up workflows.
Both sport technologies intended to boost productivity, lessen fussiness and save costs. Among these are a software suite and user interface that should make operating the systems easygoing. There's a print assistant that automatically suggests the right print mode for the job. Their Océ Image Logic technology automatically cleans blemished originals for near-perfect copies and scans. There's no dusty toner, and prints are water-resistant. You can print securely from your desk, the cloud or a thumb drive. Their automatic print preview and roll switching are nice touches that should make life less complicated.
The landing page covers these and more. After reading the overview, hit the Features tab. This covers the technologies behind the systems' 600 dpi resolution and print job management. For those favoring data sheets, hit the Specs tab. Aside: You can download a brochure that fleshes out the system's key technologies under every tab.
Still, the Videos tab is where you should linger. It kicks off with a 10-minute product demo. Watch it. You're not going to get a better understanding of the features and potential productivity gains of an Océ ColorWave 3000 printing system without standing next to one. It's followed by 19 more videos, each very short. These cover additional features such as multitasking print support, media flexibility and environmental sustainability.
The Océ ColorWave 3000 Series landing page is for everyone working with large-format documents. You might not realize how far print/scan/copy technology has come and how it can help boost your productivity. Hit today's link to learn how far.
Thanks, Pal. – Lockwood
