Noesis Solutions, a digital engineering transformation partner, has launched SimApps feature on its cloud-based collaborative engineering platform, id8. This aligns with id8’s mission to democratize the engineering design process, enabling designers and engineers of all experience levels and functional expertise to perform analysis of their engineering designs, Noesis Solutions reports.

SimApps standardize and automate recurring analysis tasks and simulation workflows, fitting into existing or reimagined processes. They capture design rules, processes, and best practice engineering workflows, allowing users to transition directly from inputs to analysis with a single click. SimApps provide explicit measurements of analytical quality through solution verification, ensuring that users can trust simulations, regardless of their experience level, enabling organizations to gain control of their engineering processes from the early ideation stage.

“With the introduction of SimApps, our objective, at Noesis Solutions, is to eliminate the technical complexities associated with IT configurations and tool management, enabling teams to dedicate their full attention to solving engineering challenges. SimApps enable simulation-driven design and the democratization of simulation, allowing many more designers and engineers to access the value of simulation technologies with confidence and reliability,” says Georgios Papantonakis, chief product officer, Noesis Solutions.

For simulation specialists, SimApps simplify complex problems. With SimApps, Noesis Solutions enables routine design analysis decisions to be solvable by everyone in the product development team, providing them with tools that capture institutional knowledge, standards, and best practices.

The new SimApps module allows id8 users to run workflows without requiring in-depth knowledge of the underlying simulations, delivering results on the same page. Created by in-house experts, SimApps are tailored to frequently encountered cases, with customizable settings and direct result views. This innovation  reduces the time spent in iterative loops between the design and simulation departments, allowing users to configure and run their simulations in just one minute.

SimApps are available in the latest release of Noesis Solutions’ cloud-based collaborative platform, id8 2024.2. This release also includes updated usability features, improving the projects module and allowing users to access simulation files or create dashboards directly from within the project.

Established in 2003, Noesis Solutions is a majority-owned subsidiary of Cybernet Systems, provider of multi-domain CAE solutions covering a range of engineering problems. Headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, Noesis Solutions operates through a network of subsidiaries and representatives in key locations around the world.
